The "Shoo-Fly" Story…
Shoo-fly's founder, Charles F. "Chuck" Hudson Jr, has been intimately involved in the insect control business for over 25 years. Prior to 1979, Chuck made his living as a crop-duster pilot, and became aware of the properties and effectiveness of many different insecticides. He and his wife, Carol Dicken Hudson, have also been involved in breeding, raising, training and showing fine Morgan horses for many years.

Their farm, Trebles Morgan Manor, has been home to some notable champions, including their foundation sire, Treble, Tug Hill Commando and Treble's Willy Wild. As experienced "horse people" themselves, Chuck and Carol wanted a safe and effective fly control system. Chuck decided to design the finest system available on the market. He selected only the finest parts for his systems: all brass and stainless steel nozzles, high PSI nylon tubing, a 24-hour programmable timer, and the U.S.D.A. approved, biodegradable insecticides to be dispensed through the system.

Chuck makes a point of examining and selecting the most reliable and well-made components for Shoo-fly. He is proud to say he would not change one single component. He believes there are none better. Many of his systems have been in operation for 20 years and are still going strong.

The Shoo-Fly Master Control Unit…
Shoo-Fly's Master Control Unit consists of all the components necessary to operate the insecticide system other than the nozzles and the tubing located throughout the barn. This Master Unit is capable of protecting barns in excess of 80 stalls. The 24-hour mechanical timer can be set around the clock to meet your particular needs... with a duration of spray ranging all the way from 1 second to 90 seconds (1 minute is optimum). The sump switch automatically turns the system off when the fluid has been used - protecting the pump motor from overheating.

Shoo-Fly has over forty years experience with insecticides and the control of insects. Our insecticides are not harmful to you, your employees, your animals, or the environment when used as directed.

Shoo-Fly's specially formulated water-based insecticides are biodegradable , and are approved for use around humans and all other warm blooded animals. They may be used in food processing facilities, bakeries, bottling plants, canneries, flour mills, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, schools and barns. We meet every strict requirement of the Environmental Protection Agency. The U.S.D.A. has authorized the use of our insecticides in all areas of official establishments operating under the Federal meat, poultry, shell, egg grading, and egg products inspection programs.

Unlike the so-called beneficial insects, or fly predators, which attack only the house fly pupa, our superb insecticides knock down and kill flying insects quickly... and they stay down. Their breeding cycle is effectively interrupted and the insects are unable to develop immunity to our insecticide formula. It may be applied directly to animals for outdoor control.

Insecticide Nozzle
The Insecticide Nozzle consists of a male branch tee (used to splice into tubing), a standard adapter (used to adapt insecticide nozzle tip to male branch tee), and the insecticide nozzle tip. They are manufactured from high quality brass and stainless steel. The insecticide nozzle tip has a built in check valve and filtering system. The check valve gives a very positive on and off. The filter is designed to take out any particles that could interfere with the flow.

Nylon Tubing
This tubing is made from nylon, which gives it incredible strength. This tubing can withstand pressures of up to 1,000 pounds per square inch without rupturing. Our systems are recommended to operate at 175 pounds per square inch, which is well below the capabilities of this tubing. Available in black or white - 250-foot rolls.

Warranty
Shoo-Fly systems carry a one-year warranty when our insecticides are used and the system is maintained as instructed in the owners manual.
