About Molly Thornton
Molly has been horse crazy since childhood and a part of the 4-H program since age 9. One of her earliest rides was on "Peanut Pony" with her Mom. They laughed so hard they fell off and Molly broke her arm. This one time incident did not slow her down or affect her love of horses.

Molly first met John Lyons at Equine Affaire in 1998. Inquiring how to learn more from this "miracle worker", she was trained by John and Josh Lyons in 1999 through their certification program. Molly moved to Colorado for that year and graduated from the John Lyons Certified Trainer Program in November of 1999.

After moving back to Maine, Molly started to build her business and has become quite successful in the horse training field... Molly continues to increase her horse knowledge and skills. She regularly attends Judge's Schools and is carded in 4-H and for POA. She attends the American Youth Horse Council Leader's Symposium and appropriate clinics to keep current on all training, judging and showing. You may spot her on the open show circuit with her triple registered Dun mare out of Poco Tango Dell.

Molly has worked with all breeds and disciplines including Oldenburgs, Lipizzaners, Irish Sport Horses, kid's ponies, backyard horses, trail and show horses. Teaching them, and their owners the likes of trailer loading, ground manners, under saddle skills, breaking and finishing. Molly's careful training offers the safest and most successful results. Her specialty is working one on one or with small groups. This gives you the individual attention to master the skills learned while Molly is with you. It also enhances learning so when you are home you can easily recall those skills and use them to connect with your horse for a successful relationship --FROM THE GROUND UP.

Molly will help you reach the goals you have set with your equine partner. She customizes the training to the horse and owner's needs to help you both acquire the skills to improve communication between partners.  Any time you go near or touch your horse there is training going on.

Molly is located in central Maine, the heart of "Vacationland". It is a small family owned and operated farm in Burnham. Her family has been here over 30 years.
