NutriBit
NutriBit is a revolutionary tool for providing nutrients to your horse as well as training rewards.
About The NutriBit Company
NutriBit is a company that strives to produce quality products that are friendly to animals, the environment, and to you the customer. Our bits are all hand made using stainless steel so as to avoid rust and to help in the comfort of the horse. The Amish community here all skillfully makes our reins in the United States. Each piece of material is crafted with care and with durability being the chief intent of construction. One of our goals with the NutriBit products is to relieve the horse from excessive physical contact. The root concept is to communicate with the horse through his mouth. Our liquid nutrients are all formulated with natural ingredients with the horse’s best interest placed first. If our products can aid in helping the overall environment of the horse, then we have accomplished one of our foundational goals.
Why Was NutriBit Created?
NutriBit originated from the idea of finding gentler means of training horses. Throughout history many horses have been the recipients of harsh methods of training. It was the intention of the NutriBit founders to give horse caretakers an easier and clearer method of communicating with their animals. With instant oral rewards the horse can quickly understand what behavior is requested. Another intention for NutriBit was to make trail rides more fun for the horse. Rather than horses fighting to stay at the barn we want to help make leaving the barn a positive anticipated event. Lastly, nutrition is important and many horses have only a salt and mineral block to help with their needs. A salt block can be ignored for weeks and do little good to the horse. Regular supplements are essential to proper horse heath and care.
What Can Be Administered With NutriBit?
To begin our launch of NutriBit we have 4 products: Performance Plus (an energy drink), Training Focus (a training drink with supplements for the brain and calming properties), Trail Treat (a vitamin enhanced trail reward), and Electrolytes Plus (a horse sports drink that puts lost electrolytes back into the horses system). As time progresses we anticipate having 50-100 different options for horses with different needs.
Is It Easy To Use?
NutriBit is as easy as putting a bridle and rein on your horse. The only part that will require adapting is squeezing the nutrient bottle at appropriate times. Most people learn this quickly and find it enjoyable to see the horse having fun too.
Will My Horses Like It?
The liquid nutrients have been formulated with the horses taste preference at the top of the list. There are 3 flavors to choose from: apple, carrot, and molasses. From extensive taste test these 3 flavors have been found to be the horse’s favorite flavors.
Can I Sit In The Saddle And Use NutriBit?
Absolutely. This is one of the reasons NutriBit was created. In times past it has been difficult to praise a correct behavior in a timely manner. Giving a carrot or some other oral treat was delayed to a point that the horse assigned a non-related behavior to the treat. This problem has been removed in that an immediate oral reward from the rider to the horse can be communicated.
Can The System Be Operated Off The Saddle- On The Ground?
The NutriBit system has been designed so that operation on the ground is simple and quick. Included with the unit is a quick release mechanism that changes the flow of liquid from the rein to an on-the-ground syringe system. This makes giving liquid medicine or nutrients easy and takes the fight out of administering through the mouth. No longer will you need to worry about sticking a syringe up into your horse’s mouth and the resulting tug of war that follows; not to mention the wasted product that can be spilled.
What Do Horse Owners Say About NutriBit?
Here is what one horse trainer is saying:
NutriBit is a remarkable device that no trainer should be without. It allows for a calm, less stressful training session, with more positive results. Being able to reward the horse immediately for correct behavior, rather than waiting until the end of the session has proven to be extremely effective with my colts. I started using NutriBit about two years ago on a horse with some attitude issues. After only a few days, I started to notice subtle changes in his behavior. This type of reward and encouragement offered with the NutriBit system made all the difference.

What Is The Price?
The price of the NutriBit rein and bit system is approximately $129.00 and varies according to what options are needed. Included in the price are the full NutriBit rein and bit system, as well as the on-the-ground syringe system. In addition matching headstalls are available. The liquid nutrients range from $10-$12 for a four pack and come in apple, carrot, or molasses flavors. When you think of the savings on training and vet bills for dehydration, the system pays for itself very quickly!
