Powerful help For Navicular & Lameness With TLC Animal Nutrition, Inc.
Navicular, Calcium Deposits, Bone Spurs and Splints

About TLC Animal Nutrition
"TLC Animal Nutrition has been independently owned and operated since 1999. The concept for our feed program began with the desire to provide health and longevity to horses, and, more specifically, off the track Thoroughbreds. Through the years, we've learned that it is not just what a horse is fed that makes a difference, it is a combination of the day to day management, as well as what happens with the feed that determines the outcome. Our programs were developed using information that was available for both human and equine nutrition and we are dedicated to bringing the very best nutritional choices for horse owners every where"
Clare Marie Miller  VP TLC Animal Nutrition Inc.

What Program Does TLC Offer For Navicular Syndrome?

We understand just how much your horse means to you. Our goal is to provide you with quality programs that give you the best possible chance to promote the well being of your horse. If you suspect your horse has navicular disease (or another bone related issue) we suggest you approach the issue with a three part process:

  1. Make an appointment with your veterinarian for a diagnosis
  2. Have your farrier make the necessary changes to shoeing
  3. Contact TLC Animal Nutrition for feeding suggestions and advice on nutritional support.

How Does Complete Dense Bone Growth Work?
Our Complete Dense Bone Growth formula provides the nutrients needed to support healthy bone development, metabolic function and improve circulation. . This revolutionary formula will change the way you view equine lameness forever.
The ability of the body to make the repair will depend on several factors:
Whether it is calcium deposits, spurs, splints, fracture or navicular, when an issue is first identified, the body will send out signals for building materials. Calcium, magnesium and phosphorus are mobilized and sent to the area of concern. If there are not enough of the correct materials, or they are not in the proper ratio, the ability of the body to make the necessary repair will be compromised. If the injury or damage is located in an area where circulation is poor, the delivery of the nutrients to that specific area will be delayed and as a result, further limit the progress.

The goal of this program is to provide support that will address the underlying pathology contributing to the bone integrity issue. The result is that you give your horse the best possible chance for recovery. Calcium deposits, spurs, splints, fracture or navicular could be your worst nightmare. If the horse has an existing bone complication, feed Complete Dense Bone Growth to increase the supply of bone building nutrients, support metabolic function and increase circulation.

How Is This Program Different From Others and What Is The Difference Between Your Program and Other Hoof Products "Claiming" To Help Navicular?

There are products on the market that are comprised primarily of glucosamine and MSM claiming to help bone issues such as navicular disease, but we urge you, don’t be fooled by joint products that claim to help with bone integrity issues. These nutrients are used by the body for cartilage production and to reduce inflammation. Neither glucosamine or MSM will do anything to improve the integrity of the bone. If glucosamine and MSM are of benefit at all, it usually means that there a secondary complication contributing to the lameness. For this reason, glucosamine and MSM can complement TLC’s Complete Dense Bone Growth program for horses with arthritis symptoms as a secondary contributing factor to lameness.

What Suggestion Does TLC Offer For Arthritis?

Arthritis is a term that is used to identify a problem within the joint. If you are able to get a diagnosis as to the specific issue, then it is easier to identify exactly what nutrients that are needed. For instance, if the problem is deterioration of the cartilage, use glucosamine, if there is inflammation in the joint then use MSM. and if there are calcium deposits or spurs forming in the joint, then feed Complete Dense Bone Growth.

Why Does This Program Work When Others Have Failed?

This program works so well because we saturate the bloodstream with the nutrients needed for healing and repair, and then improve the circulation to make sure it gets down to the area where it may be utilized to repair the damaged area. Our products are made of the highest quality nutrients, and our feed programs are designed to meet the nutritional needs of horses in many difficult situations. We'll make sure your horses thrive on the quality products we have to offer.

Dense Bone Growth Mineral is a unique blend of nutrients that is given anytime you want to improve the integrity of the bone. Minerals must be balanced for healthy bone development, a lack of any one mineral will limit how effective the other minerals can be. This lack of stability can lead to mineral deficient bones that are more susceptible to injury. Give TLC's Dense Bone Growth Mineral for horses with calcium deposits, spurs, navicular or anytime you need to improve the integrity of the bone.

Glucosamine stimulates the production of cartilage building compounds and helps restore damaged cartilage tissue. With 28,000 mg per ounce, TLC's Glucosamine is the most powerful available on the market today.
MSM / Vitamin C This sulfur rich nutrient is excellent for reducing inflammation. MSM is particularly useful for tendons and certain types of arthritis. This is due to the ability of MSM to allow toxins to flow out of the cells while allowing nutrients to flow in. This cleansing process relieves the pressure build-up within the cell and reduces inflammation.
