How Did The Hitch ‘N’ Lock Come About?
While boating in Lake Lewisville several years ago, Mr. Pratt prepared to back up his pickup and trailer for loading but found that his trailer was missing. It was a custom-built trailer that was expensive and difficult to replace. After calling the police and insurance company, paying for a docking slip, insurance deductible, and a new trailer it had been an expensive and frustrating day at the lake. As a result of this misadventure and after much research Mr. Pratt was inspired to design a hitch lock for the protection of property and the protection of lives. He created it to be affordable for the working man, requiring little modification to existing trailer hitches or bumpers. He applied for a patent that is now pending and built the current safety trailer hitch lock prototype in his garage. Mr. Pratt has been building a business and giving opportunities to protect life and property ever since.
