What IS Equi-Turf™?

A "poured in place" non, permeable, permanent, rubber surface custom-installed at your location specifically designed around drains, door ways, etc. providing a seamless, rubber surface.
A unique combination of recycled rubber and high strength polyurethane binder is the base and a specially formulated Polyurea top coat exclusive to Equi-Turf™ is the top coat, or wearing layer.
Installed in any depth from 3/8" thickness for ultimate cushion depending on the specific application.
Ideal for surgical/procedure/recovery areas, box stalls, grooming stalls, wash racks, cross-tie areas, full aisleways, horse trailers, etc. The possibilities are truly endless.

What Sets Equi-Turf™ Apart From Other Flooring Competitors?
Equi-Turf™ is truly unique because it is NOT made of polyurethane; it is comprised of a special formulated POLYUREA. Equi-Turf™ is seamless, permanent, and cost- effective. Where Can I Apply Equi-Turf™? What If My Walls Need Protection Too?
That is one of the best selling points! Not only is Equi-Turf™ ideal of floor surfacing, it is also used in a wall pad application. Again, creating a seamless transition from a 4’ – 8’ padded wall into the floor itself. Equi-Turf™ is perfect for use in horse stalls, horse trailers, barn aisle ways, tack rooms, veterinary facilities, -- even playgrounds, poolsides and patios.

Is Equi-Turf™ Easy To Keep Clean And Sanitary?
Yes! The surface is completely sanitizable promoting a bacteria-free surface. It is totally resistant to highly toxic and acidic fluids, including urine. Maintenance is very simple. Common, household chemicals and disinfectants, with the exception of bleach, are recommended for use on the Equi-Turf™ surface. Although it is not required, power washing (do not exceed 1500 psi) will improve the aesthetic appearance of the surface. This may be done 1 to 2 times per year. For stain removal, the use of a commercial or household detergent soap that is non-caustic, non-acidic or solvent-based, mixed with warm water is recommended. Cleaners and disinfectants NOT available over-the-counter are prohibited under the 5 Year Warranty unless express written approval from Equi-Turf™, Inc.

Can I Use Equi-Turf™ For Flooring and Walls Of My Horse Trailer?
You BET! Equi-TurfTM is ideal for horse trailers as well. Aiding in transport, this surface allows not only comfort but safety. Added grit to the floor surface ensures stability and sure-footedness. The Equi-TurfTM surface, once again, is permanent, non-porous, seamless and completely sanatizable. Most trailers of today are made from aluminum, Equi-TurfTM can be sprayed up the walls as well as the floor to help protect your trailer investment from corrosion due to horse urine. Although, significantly beneficial, surprisingly enough, Equi-TurfTM does NOT add much to overall trailer weight."

Is Equi-Turf™ Easy On Hooves and Horses With Arthritis?
Absolutely! The Equi-Turf™ surface has been proven to be beneficial on the body reducing stress on joints and arthritis common to horses standing in hard and uneven stalls. Research suggests Equi-Turf™ promotes hoof expansion allowing for increased circulation. In bovine facilities, Equi-Turf™ has been proven to increase milk production by 25% - 32% in milking parlors and helps to prevent life-threatening cattle injuries.

What Is The Recommended Thicknesses For Stalls or Veterinary Facilities?
Traditionally, a ½” surface is recommended for aisle ways; 1” surface for box stalls/standard areas; 1.5” – 2.5” for special procedures/induction and surgical/recovery stalls, foaling stalls, wash racks/grooming stalls. Depending on the application, the surface will be custom-designed to accommodate drains, doorways, and any other specific needs, as thin as 3/8”. Cushion can be as customized to the customer's wishes, depth and softness.

Does Equi-Turf™ Also Make Rubber Arena Footing?
Yes! Equi-Turf™ arena Footings are made of superior recycled rubber. The footings are 3–6 mm in size. Equi-Turf™ arena footings have made a significant difference in helping to reduce dust in the riding arena. Also, studies have shown that Equi-Turf™ arena footings have possibly helped return energy to the horse. Equi-Turf™ footings, if installed properly to the correct depth and groomed properly, will provide many years of service.
