What If I Want A Bachelor of Science Degree?
There are 23 required equine study courses to earn a Bachelor of Science degree and 10, (plus 2 elective courses) required to earn Professional Certification as a Horse Trainer, Riding Instructor or Stable Manager. Students may take the courses in any order they choose; the courses, however, are listed in a “suggest sequence”. Courses may be taken one at a time. Once a course is completed it is good for credit in any program; a student never has to “duplicate” a course. And students can take just one course or several for their personal enrichment without any obligation to take other courses.

What About College Accreditation?
Accreditation for US colleges is voluntary. Breyer State University has been awarded accreditation approval by the Educational Accreditation Association (EAA), and is a member of the American Association of Higher Education and Accreditation. There is no mandate by federal law for a school, college or university to be accredited. "In order to insure a basic level of quality, the practice of accreditation arose in the United States as a means of conducting non-governmental, peer evaluation. Private educational associations of regional or national scope have adopted criteria reflecting the qualities of a sound educational program and have developed procedures for evaluating institutions or programs to determine whether or not they are operating at basic levels of quality."
