Grand Digest
Keeping your horse’s complex digestive system operating at peak performance….

Grand Digest Is The First Complete Digestive Formula for All Three Stages of the Digestion Process

• Promotes Natural Digestive Function For Horses

• Affects All Three Stages Of The Digestion Process

Healthy digestion fuels your horse’s ultimate performance, but keeping your horse’s digestive and immune system in a healthy balance can be a challenge. In their natural environment horses are continuously grazing on forage grown on a variety of soil conditions. Pasture grazing creates continual salivation making it easy and efficient for your horse to break down and absorb multiple nutrients that stimulates every condition of your horse. It is rare to see a horse in pasture colic, have gastric ulcers or suffer from diarrhea or poor immune function.
Most horses today, especially high performance, competitive horses are confined to a small stall or turnouts, fed a limited variety of concentrated, high starch commercial feeds usually, just twice a day. This necessary, but not so natural feeding regimen combined with the stresses of training, trailering and competitions certainly can cause your horse’s digestive and immune system to fall out of balance increasing the risk of digestive problems from diarrhea, gastric ulcers to colic. Providing targeted supplements will enable your horses to better adapt to their modern life by getting the most necessary nutrients to support their optimum digestive and immune function.

How Do I Know If My Horse Needs Grand Digest?
Most horses do, and it is safe for your horse as a preventative! Limited access to pasture, heavy training and high stress can all contribute to this condition. Endoscopy is the best way to diagnose an ulcer and the only way to heal an ulcer is with prescription medication. If your horse is healthy you definitely want to protect him from these problematic ulcer conditions. Fresh pasture grass or grass hay diets, limiting excess high starch grains and providing your horse with consistent exercise-turnouts will all help prevent ulcers from developing.

How Effective Are Probiotics?

The stability of most probiotics is very poor as they degrade rapidly when exposed to oxygen. Unless your probiotic is vacuum packed or refrigerated, chances that none of the live, viable beneficial bacteria are active or effective. Diamond V Yeast, unlike yeasts used in other digestive products, is a shelf stable “pre-biotic” and is not compromised by exposure to oxygen and heat. It is the perfect food for enhancing the beneficial bacteria in the large intestine.

How Do Nutrients and Feed Get Digested?
The workhorse, is the small intestine – 80-90 percent of the fats, amino acids, and vitamins are absorbed through the small intestine. Diamond V and Glutamine enhances the enzymatic breakdown of nutrients. Glutamine causes the intestinal villi to grow, improving their ability to absorb and carry nutrients into the bloodstream. Villi are nodules that line the intestinal walls, the more surface area they cover, the more nutrients can pass through and be absorbed.
What if I am feeding a Complete feed/grain?
Even though they are popular and convenient, they are not the answer to good horse health. The real problem with feeding cereal grains and high starch concentrates can overload the ability of a horse’s ability to properly digest and absorb carbohydrates. The excess starch produced in the hindgut causes acidosis can occur, which can lead to colic. These high starch, sweat grains contain excess omega-6 fatty acids, which decreases important omega 3 fatty acids which decreases the intestine’s ability to absorb nutrients and can cause inflammation.

What Are The Major Benefits of Diamond Vtm?
Diamond V is a fully fermented, “prebiotic” stable yeast culture that works as a perfect food source supplying a long list of beneficial enzymes and beneficial bacteria to the hind gut, it boosts the breakdown of fibrous feed digestion and stabilizes pH to safeguard the stomach lining against excess gastric acid.

Can Diamond Vtm Build and Improve The Immune Function?
New, dramatic scientific evidence has shown that Diamond V increased efficiency of the immune system by to perform at superior levels by improving the ratio of immune helper cells to destructive suppressor cells.

Can Healthy Horses Benefit From Digestion Support?

Healthy horses can benefit from digestive support especially those undergoing feed changes, horses on antibiotics, and particularly those under stressful training, heavy competitive schedules and trailering long distances. Protecting and enhancing your horse’s natural digestion process is one of the most important things you can do to keep your horse’s overall health optimum.
