We are one of New England's 50 largest insurance agencies, representing over 100 insurance companies allowing us to do the insurance shopping for you.

As an independent insurance agency, our goal is to assist you in all your insurance needs. We will help you manage and plan for all your potential risks. As professionals, we assess your needs and offer you a variety of insurance products to choose from. Service, whether it is in response to an insurance claim or general question, is the most important value we offer you.

The employees at Foy Insurance Group work hard to build a trusted relationship with our customers. We strive to make you feel both comfortable with and confident in our abilities by acting as your consultant. We want you to have the confidence in us that your parents may have had and that your children will have. Our Company History

Foy Insurance Group and its related corporations are a set of local insurance offices that are all principally owned by the Foy family and have been doing business in New Hampshire for over 100 years. We are hard-working "Yankee" businesspeople who expect growth and profitability from each of our locations. Our growth has been both internal - via aggressive new business activities - and external - via acquisitions. We have averaged almost one agency acquisition per year for the last 15 years.

Is It True That Foy Insurance Is An Affiliate Partner of the AMHA?

Yes! We are active in the Morgan Horse community and love all breeds of horses! When you call Foy you are talking to “horse people” who know and understand the needs and concerns of horse owners in today’s economy and can serve you and your horses well.

What Kinds Of Coverages Are Available Through Foy Equine Insurance?

Mortality:
You invest a lot in your horse and, as with other investments; there are steps you can take to protect this investment. A Mortality policy helps you do just that. This policy provides coverage for death and theft on a broad basis. With this policy your horse is covered for accident, injury, sickness, and disease. Many policies include Emergency Colic Surgery coverage as well. Policies cover your horse anywhere in the continental United States and Canada. Extensions for foreign use and travel are available.

Foy Insurance now offers a 10% discount for members of the American Morgan Horse Association on their Mortality premium through American Equine Insurance Group. AEIG brings three decades of insurance experience to the table. The Mortality staff also has over 100 years of collective knowledge and experience, so you know your horses are being covered by people who not only know insurance, but also know horses. To find out if your horse is eligible for this discount please contact us for a quote.

Named Perils Coverage is also available - this policy works as a "lighter" version of the Mortality policy. It provides coverage for the death of your horse from specific cause unrelated to sickness or injury such as collapse of a building, fire, and transportaion. This coverage is ideal for owners with multiple horses or older horses who may no longer qualify for full Mortality coverage.

Mortality Add-Ons - These coverages are add-ons to your Mortality policy, they work like Health Insurance for your horse. Each coverage differs by company so contact us today to see what is right for you! Major Medical provides varying levels of coverage for surgery, post-operative care and transportation. Mortality policies typically include a small amount of this coverage automatically.

Major Medical Coverage is available at many different coverage and deductible levels. This addition to your policy covers medical and surgical expenses that are the result of a covered accident, injury, sickness or disease. Commonly referred to as "Major Med", this coverage helps pay for veterinary costs in covered situations. Different companies cover different types of treatments, so be sure to talk with us about what your Major Med will cover.

Surgical Expense coverage is more limited and only covers the cost of surgery itself. This coverage is less costly than Major Med, but only covers surgical costs and does not cover any diagnostics, after care or other veterinary costs.

Loss of Use Coverage protects you in the case that your horse is no longer able to be used for their specified use. The horse must be totally and permanently unfit for the specified use. There are a variety of levels available as well as specific coverages for breeding stallions.

Professional, Event and Club Liability
There are a range of coverages for the equine professional. Some of those included are:

Equine Commercial General Liability - This policy provides coverage for bodily injury or property damage to third parties which arise from your equestrian activities. This policy is designed for all professionals who operate premises designed for breeding, boarding, training, instructing, or any other commercial equestrian activity.

Equine Professional Liability Coverage – This coverage is an add-on to your General Liability policy and helps provide you coverage for legal liability issues arising from your role as an equine professional. This coverage will help to defend and pay any suits against you from negligent acts, errors or omission in your equestrian business.

Equine Care, Custody or Control –This coverage may be written as a stand-alone policy or as an add-on to the General  Liability policy. The Care, Custody or Control coverage helps to protect you in the event that you or an employee are liable for damages to a horse in your care. This damage could be death, injury, or theft of the horse in question. The coverage will help defend and pay for any suits that arise out of this legal liability.

Equine Event Commercial General Liability
– This policy is to provide liability coverage for your horse show, clinic or other equine event on a single-event basis.

Equine Clubs and Associations Commercial General Liability
This policy is to provide liability coverage for Equine Clubs and Associations. The policy provides coverage for meetings and public event days where members and non-members will be in attendance.
