Recognized by many, as a professional horse trainer for years, Theresa is passionate about the details or logistics (logistics: implementation of the details) behind creating great performance horses and teaching those details (logistics) to others.  She is that outgoing, friendly face that everyone looks forward to meeting when they are looking to get involved and be connected with a great teacher/trainer/coach.  Theresa has raised 3 fabulous – amazing now adult children as a single mother, she has won a few saddles, qualified and shown all over the country including qualifying for the AQHA World Show…yet with the exception of her children few things have given her as much pleasure as working with and watching her students flourish after participating and obtaining her valuable – life changing programs.

Theresa’s career started with legendary cutting horse trainer Kenneth Gaylean (and Jody Gaylean) then onto Alice Walton Cutting Horses (daughter of retail phenomenon Sam Walton founder of Wal-Mart).  A truly life changing opportunity came along when working with Mr. Frank Bailey (Reining and Barrel / Barrel Futurity Horses) – he might NOT have been famous but he darn sure was riding horses in a cutting edge way – 25 years ago.

One of the most powerful influences in the last 10 years to Theresa was Dr. M. T. Morter, Jr. Dr. M. T. Morter, Jr. was the past president of 2 colleges, author of 6 books and developer of the technique B.E.S.T. (Bio-Energetic Synchronization Technique).  B.E.S.T is available today for study and use on animals. It was through his work that Theresa learned so much about energy, the power of positive thoughts, thinking and thought processes, the power of the mind, empowering others, performance coaching and more…

Can Traveling Trainer Theresa Thompson Help Anyone With Their Horses Whatever Their Riding Style?
Theresa Thompson Training programs are foundational horsemanship programs that are helpful in many areas as well such as round pen work, ground work with horses, showmanship, trail work and riding, hunter under saddle, western pleasure, reining, queen patterns and horsemanship work, barrel and barrel futurity work, and last but not least competitive mind-set work for the humans however mind-set work is huge for horses as well! No matter what your riding style, Theresa will customize a terrific program just for you!

What Are My Program Options?
As you’ve probably already figured out with the horse business – horsemanship can be very complex and takes much focus, study, practice and implementation to be anywhere close to successful.  Whether successful to you means “safe” or whether successful to you means winning the IFYR barrel race like student Kynder Starr or whether successful means trail riding or winning a state championship or qualifying for the World Show or NFR.  Success levels are different for all – and there are legitimate steps to get there…Traveling Trainer by Theresa was developed out of need and has been a HUGE hit – people love when Theresa comes to them. She had clients that lived 2 or 4 hours away – and they struggled for time – to come to see her.  Which means their “program and success” was somewhat compromised because it was not feasible to work with her throughout the week.  Which works best somewhat like a “clinic” as far as style – a progressive approach to learning.  So Theresa started going to them for a scheduled 60-80 hours which means (3 times a week 6 weeks) OR working (3 hours a day – Mon-Fri for approximately 1 month). Average cost in 2011 is  $38-$50 per hour – not inexpensive BUT doesn’t break the bank either.

Can I Split The Cost With One Friend If We Want to Divide The Time?
Splitting cost is a genius way of approaching Traveling Trainer by Theresa expenses; if you have other family or friends from your area that are interested and as committed as you – then share the information and share the expense! Theresa can work with up 3 students per session.  It is required that one person pay when doing joint venture programs.  Another money saving approach is deposits made in 2011 for the 2012 schedule have a 10% savings attached.  Example:  Program cost $3995, non-refundable deposit is half or $1997.50 – 10% off for booking this year is a savings of $199.75
