InfoHorse.com has been connecting horse owners with quality products, services, and education since 1997. Founded by Ann and Bob Pruitt, InfoHorse.com is your trusted directory for everything equestrian — from barn accessories and horse fencing to professional trainers, natural horsemanship schools, and trailer products.
We work directly with manufacturers, service providers, and equine professionals to bring you honest, detailed information about the products and services that matter most to horse owners. Every advertiser on InfoHorse.com is individually reviewed and approved.
Our Story
InfoHorse.com began in 1997 as a family project built by two lifelong horse people, Ann and Bob Pruitt. In the early days of the web, horse owners had few good ways to find trustworthy manufacturers and reliable equine professionals in one place. Ann and Bob set out to fix that — building a directory the way they would want to use it themselves, with listings they had personally vetted.
Nearly three decades later, that same family still runs InfoHorse.com by hand. Since 1997 we have featured more than 6,000 brands, services, experts, and schools across every corner of the horse world — health and nutrition, barns and fencing, trailers and tack, trainers and natural-horsemanship academies — and that number grows every week. Through all of it the standard has never changed: real horse people, vetting real products, for real horse owners. This is our livelihood and our passion, and we treat every listing and every reader accordingly.
What sets InfoHorse apart is what we don't do. We sell no products of our own, and we vet across competing brands — so our only allegiance is to the horse owner trying to make a confident choice. That independence, and nearly thirty years of doing it the same honest way, is why credentialed professionals trust InfoHorse to reach horse owners: veterinarians, PhD nutritionists, master farriers, certified trainers, accredited schools, and equine attorneys. You can meet many of the experts who trust InfoHorse.
Our Mission
To provide horse owners with a comprehensive, trustworthy resource for discovering quality horse products and educational content — all in one place.
The InfoHorse.com Leadership Team
InfoHorse.com is family-run. Bob and Ann Pruitt founded it in 1997 and still set its standard — real horse people, vetting real products. Their son Robert and son-in-law James lead the digital side. We aren't just experts in our fields; we're horse lovers, first and always.
Ann Pruitt
Co-Founder & Head of Sales & Customer Engagement
Equine Advisory & Testing Board
Ann co-founded InfoHorse.com in 1997 and leads Sales & Customer Engagement — the voice most advertisers and readers reach first. A horsewoman of more than 40 years with 20 years of horse barn management experience, she manages a boarding stable and personally gives riding lessons, and has guided countless owners through real-world equine care — from colic and nutrition to daily management. She serves on the InfoHorse Equine Advisory & Testing Board, curating and reviewing the brands and articles the directory lists. She famously traded in her wedding ring for her second horse, an Arabian named Azi — she prizes her horses above any worldly riches.
Bob co-founded InfoHorse.com in 1997 alongside Ann, leads the company as CEO, and serves as its Editorial Curator. A lifelong horseman of more than 50 years who began as a boy in his neighborhood barns, he started all his own horses and learned at the clinics of John Lyons, Richard Winters, and Clinton Anderson, and serves on the InfoHorse Equine Advisory & Testing Board, which vets the brands and products the directory recommends. Bob's hands-on training perspective keeps InfoHorse dependable for the horse owners who rely on it.
Robert leads InfoHorse's digital visibility — website design, SEO, and the emerging GEO (generative-engine optimization) that helps horse owners find trustworthy answers in today's AI-powered search. A published author and live-certification instructor in his field, he has ridden horses since boyhood. An expert in the technology behind the platform — and, like the rest of the family, a genuine horse lover.
James Swider
