Trust & Transparency
Advertiser Disclosure
We believe horse owners deserve to know exactly how InfoHorse.com works. In the interest of full transparency, this page explains how our directory is funded and how that funding relates — and does not relate — to the information you read here.
InfoHorse.com is a paid directory
InfoHorse.com is supported by the advertisers and sponsors listed on the site. Manufacturers, service providers, trainers, and equine professionals pay a fee to be included in our directory and to maintain their listings. That advertising revenue is what keeps InfoHorse.com online and free for horse owners to use. We have been operating this way since 1997.
When you visit an advertiser's listing page or click through to their website, InfoHorse.com may benefit from that business relationship. We think you should know that up front, every time.
Every listing is reviewed before it goes live
Paying to advertise does not mean a listing is published automatically. Every advertiser on InfoHorse.com is individually reviewed and approved by Ann Pruitt before it appears in the directory. We check that a business is real, that its contact information is accurate, and that what it offers genuinely serves horse owners. Listings that do not meet that bar are not published.
How featured and sponsor placements work
Some advertisers choose featured or sponsor placements, which give a listing more prominent positioning on category pages, subcategory pages, or the homepage. These placements are paid, and they rotate so that different advertisers are highlighted over time. A featured placement reflects an advertiser's level of participation in the directory — it is not an editorial ranking, a rating, or an endorsement of one product over another.
Editorial articles are separate from advertising
InfoHorse.com publishes editorial articles — how-to guides, care advice, and educational content for horse owners. This editorial content is distinct from our paid advertiser listings. Where an article is connected to a sponsor, that relationship is identified. The product descriptions, claims, and details on an advertiser's listing are provided by the advertiser; our editorial articles are curated by the InfoHorse team. We keep the two clearly separated so you always know what you are reading.
For more on how our editorial content is created and reviewed, see our Editorial Policy. For health and product claims specifically, please read our Health Disclaimer.
