“The inspector hunted me down to explain that it was the best he had ever seen, then commenced to call the office to tell them as well. We couldn’t be happier with our Woodys Barn!”-Mark Spicola “We are extremely happy with our dream barn! There were a couple of items that needed to be addressed along the way, both Zack and Kent went to great lengths to make sure that we were completely satisfied.
Woodys Barns takes its name from Mr. Woody (Elwood), who started the company with his son-in-law Kent (President) back in 2008. Woodys Barns has been building beautiful quality barns for over 17 years in the State of Florida. The company employs family and long-time friends, which makes the work environment and communication simple and near flawless.
These are NOT barn kits. Woodys Barns are custom built on property by a dedicated crew. The company is licensed and insured, takes care of all permits, delivery of materials, installation, calls for inspections, cleans up the site when done, and provides a 5-year limited Structural Warranty on materials.
Customers can create their own style or choose from popular layouts: Center Aisle, Shed Row, or L-Shaped Barns. Sizes range from a 1-stall, 1-tack with porch all the way up to 200 stalls+. Beyond horse barns, Woodys also builds garages, workshops, hay storage barns, machine shops, equipment barns, storage sheds, and more.
Woodys works in 48 Florida counties, excluding the panhandle and some areas in the southeastern region of the state. Whether a concrete pad is needed is up to the customer — Woodys can build with or without. Minimum sizes: 1,200 sq ft for wood-frame pole barns and enclosed barns; 1,000 sq ft for metal structures (steel-truss pole barns and enclosed storage).
All buildings are framed up using site-built trusses, then covered with roof metal (custom upgrades for roof decking available). Concrete slabs are poured if desired. Barns are skinned or enclosed with metal, wood, or hardie board — or any combination of the three. Galvanized hinges and hardware protect against the Florida elements.
Door options include hinged wooden stall doors, sliding aluminum stall doors with wood door inserts, double-sided crossbuck horse shutters, single-sided decorative shutters, french doors, aluminum bar stall fronts, and aluminum bar stall dividers. Standard windows are 3030 single-hung single-pane impact glass with white frames; customization is available. Shutters and dutch doors round out the options.
