Steady Horse

is the trust-based horsemanship program founded by international clinician Noah Tillman-Young (Noah T.Y.) to help nervous riders feel safe again and turn reactive, spooky horses into calm, willing partners. Members get a structured online training library with 25+ step-by-step courses spanning groundwork, desensitizing, riding and confidence-building, plus live group coaching, private one-on-one sessions, a personalized video-review system and a mobile barn app. Flagship courses include the Fearless Rider Formula, Cantering for Confidence, Safer Trails, the Desensitizing Bootcamp and Spook Proof Your Horse. If you have ever felt afraid to canter, dreaded the next spook, or wanted a deeper bond with a horse you can trust, Steady Horse was built for you. In-person lessons, send-in horse training, kids lessons and clinics are also available at Grace Ranch in Floresville, Texas.

What Does Steady Horse Offer?

At its core is the Unbreakable Bond coaching program, an all-access membership that opens the full course library, workbooks for every module, and direct coaching support from Noah and the Steady Horse team. The progression is deliberate: foundational courses like First Steps, Lead with Love and Bonding Through Liberty Work build the language between horse and handler, while intensives such as the Desensitizing Bootcamp and Spook Proof Your Horse systematically build a horse's confidence around the things that used to send it bolting.

Riders who learn faster with feedback can submit training videos for personalized review, join live group coaching sessions, or book private one-on-one work with certified coaches. There is even a coaching-certification track for those who want to teach the method themselves. Everything ladders toward one outcome Noah describes simply: "When riders replace control with clarity, horses respond with attention and willingness. That's where true safety begins."

Who Is Noah Tillman-Young?

Noah Tillman-Young is an international clinician, equestrian educator and keynote speaker with more than 20 years helping create safer horses and more confident riders. His mission began with a tragedy close to home: his mother, Gina Grace, an accomplished horsewoman, was riding her fully trained police horse, Justice, when a tree branch fell, the horse spooked and bolted, and she was thrown and seriously injured. Rather than walk away from horses, she told Noah she owed it to herself to try again, and he made a promise to find a better, safer way.

"I came to Steady Horse broken physically and emotionally... I have regained my self confidence." Kari Lewis

What he discovered reshaped his entire approach. Force and correction failed when fear took over; only connection held. From that breakthrough grew Steady Horse, a movement that has now reached more than 40,000 students and 400,000 followers across five continents, with 650+ horses started through trust rather than force. Noah has been featured on Horse TV and served as a keynote speaker for National Veterinary Associates.

How Does the Steady Horse Method Work?

The method is built on a single conviction: connection over control. Instead of dominating a horse through pressure, Steady Horse teaches riders to earn responsiveness through clarity, softness and partnership, so the horse chooses to stay calm even in the moments fear would normally take over. As Noah puts it, "There's no such thing as a stubborn horse, only a confused one."

In practice that means starting on the ground with desensitizing and groundwork fundamentals, then carrying that same trust into the saddle through progressive confidence exercises. The system is intentionally structured and step-by-step, meeting riders exactly where they are, whether they are rebuilding nerve after a fall or starting a young horse from scratch. The promise behind it all stays simple: Simple. Structured. Steady.

Who should join Steady Horse?

Steady Horse is built for riders who want to feel safe and confident again and for owners of spooky, reactive or anxious horses. Whether you are rebuilding nerve after a scare, starting a young horse, or simply want a deeper, more trusting partnership, the program meets you at your current level and builds from there.

What is the Unbreakable Bond program?

The Unbreakable Bond is Steady Horse's all-access coaching membership. It unlocks the entire course library, workbooks for every module, live group coaching, member pricing on standalone courses, the Training Diaries series, a coaching-certification option and direct support from Noah and the Steady Horse team.

What does the Steady Horse method teach?

The method is grounded in connection over control: clarity, softness and partnership instead of force and domination. Riders begin with desensitizing and groundwork fundamentals, then carry that trust into the saddle through progressive, step-by-step confidence exercises designed to keep both horse and rider calm and safe.

Can I learn online, or do I need to attend in person?

Both. The online membership delivers 25+ structured courses, live group coaching, private one-on-one sessions and a personalized video-review system you can use from your own barn. In-person personal lessons, send-in horse training, kids lessons and clinics are offered at Grace Ranch in Floresville, Texas.

What courses are included with Steady Horse?

Flagship and member courses include the Fearless Rider Formula, Cantering for Confidence, Safer Trails, the Desensitizing Bootcamp, Spook Proof Your Horse, Lead with Love, Bonding Through Liberty Work, First Steps, 5 Minute Training Exercises, 7 Days to a Better Horse and more, organized as a deliberate progression from groundwork to confident riding.

How does the personalized video review work?

Members can submit videos of their own training sessions and receive individualized feedback from the Steady Horse coaching team, so you get tailored guidance on your specific horse and challenges rather than one-size-fits-all instruction.

Where is Steady Horse located?

Steady Horse's home base is Grace Ranch in Floresville, Texas, where Noah Tillman-Young and his team hold personal lessons, clinics, kids lessons and send-in horse training. The online program is available to riders worldwide.
