Chickens Can Smell Bad!

Ammonia is the culprit of chicken coop odor. Ammonia is one of the most dangerous gases in the air. It can irritate an animal's eyes, lungs, sinuses, mouth, skin and make them more vulnerable to infection. Humans can also be harmed by high levels of ammonia.

What is Citric Acid?

An effective organic acid naturally found in citrus fruits. Citric Acid is used in pharmaceuticals as a pH adjusting agent, in cosmetics, and it's a food additive & preservative in foods, jams, candies and sodas. Also, an active ingredient in pesticides, disinfectants, sanitizers, and fungicides.

Remove all shavings, manure, and feathers. Wash floors and walls with equal parts of water and vinegar. Use a hose if possible. Completely dry coop. Add fresh bedding, sprinkle a light layer of Fresh Coop® Odor Control on the bedding. For daily maintenance sprinkle Fresh Coop® Odor Control on wet areas while removing droppings and soiled litter. Deep Litter Method
This method, instead of removing soiled bedding weekly, allows the bedding/litter to decompose inside the coop. After a deep clean, add 4” of shavings then sprinkle a light layer of Fresh Coop® Odor Control on the shavings. Every week use a pitchfork and turn the bedding, continue to add shavings weekly.
