Are Your Horses Left "Blowing In The Wind"?
An open barn or stall offers wonderful ventilation, but, what if the weather turns to blazing sun, driving rain or pelting snow? Having a durable screen to help protect your equine friend is vital to both their health, comfort and well being. While the main purpose of equine windscreen is to provide for wind and noise reduction. Increased privacy and improved appearance of horse riding arenas and horse racing tracks are further benefits. Equine fence screens can be ordered in standard or custom sizes. With many color options, our arena windscreens can be customized with custom logos, letters, custom graphics or message on panels. You can also choose from a variety of windscreen installation accessories.
What About A Windscreen For My Horse Arena?
Our Arena Sidewall Windscreen by COVERMASTER®can be supplied in custom sizes to be installed on open-sided horse-riding arenas, horse stalls, and fencing at equestrian centers. Windscreens reduce the effects of wind and driving rain entering the open-sided arena. Covermaster windscreens are custom fabricated to your specifications. We offer standard 6’ and 9’ high sections. Riding arena screens can be attached with zip ties through the grommets, directly to the arena posts or on tension cables attached to the posts.

What About A Privacy Windscreen? (Does This Story Sound Familiar?)

COVERMASTER® Windscreen offers many other benefits for Equestrian facilities. For instance, one of our clients called "Empty Saddle Club", a private riding club focused on ensuring the continuation of Western-style riding, was in search of a replacement for its old open-weave poly windscreens. One of the main requirements the Club had for their new windscreens was for them to function as a visual impairment for the horses and cows inside the arena. They wanted to prevent outside activity from distracting the animals.

After a conversation with a representative from the COVERMASTER® team, in which the wide variety of options available was discussed, Empty Saddle Club determined the Polypropylene Tight Weave Windscreen was the best windscreen solution for their facility. Offering a durable 95% shading capacity, this windscreen was the perfect choice for a facility looking to visually obstruct any object or distraction outside of the arena.

After the Windscreen was installed at Empty Saddle Club’s facility, the club shared with COVERMASTER® that they were very happy with the look and fit of their new windscreens, noting that less dust sticks to these windscreens than the windscreens they had used in the past. What About Shading Horses From The Blazing Sun?
Nothing like seeing your beautiful chestnut fade to a palomino--- or your black horse turn to brown-- all from the sun! Let's not even talk about how distracting the sun can blind you while you ride or give you a 'tan' you may not appreciate!
COVERMASTER® Windscreen/Shadescreen can keep the sun off the Horses and stable staff. A wide rand of shade screen mesh is available, from 50-78% shading in our vinyl mesh, and up to 95% in a polypropylene mesh. These shade screens allow some breeze and light to pass through but offer considerable shade to keep the area cool and reduce UV exposure.

How About Custom Stall Draping? (Facility Enhancement /Event Branding Solutions)

But...Are These Windscreens Tough Enough For Horses?
While no screen is completely indestructible, our equine fence screens are made with high tensile strength fabrics such as polypropylene and vinyl coated mesh... fully designed for added durability necessary when working with horses. They are also Ultra-violet resistant, and are available in an open or closed weave and in various weights and grades to satisfy a wide range of applications!
