When a horse struggles to breathe, every stride and every quiet moment in the stall is affected. SilvaPlex® and Flexineb® from Wire 2 Wire Vet Products were built for exactly those horses—and for the owners who refuse to settle. One is a silent, portable nebulizer that carries medicine and natural therapy straight into the airways. The other is a chelated-silver line that supports wounds, skin, and breathing comfort. Both come from a company with a single rule: it only sells what its founders already use on their own animals.

What are SilvaPlex® and Flexineb®?

Flexineb® is a portable, re-usable, silent equine nebulizer that delivers a very fine mist of aerosolized medication or natural therapy directly to a horse's respiratory tract—without the noisy compressor, hoses, and wires of conventional units. SilvaPlex® is a line of naturally derived, animal-safe products built around the patented Ag21™ chelated-silver complex: wound gel and wound spray for cuts, abrasions, lacerations, and minor burns; a pH-balanced shampoo; a throat spray for breathing discomfort; and a chelated-silver respiratory solution for natural immune support. Used together, the nebulizer and the silver solutions give horse owners a coordinated approach to airway and skin health.

How does the Flexineb® nebulizer actually work?

The Flexineb® E3 system pairs a rechargeable, battery-powered controller with a flexible mask and a clear aerosol chamber, producing a fine therapeutic mist with no compressor noise to startle the horse. Because it is self-contained and silent, treatments are calm and can be administered almost anywhere—in the barn, at a show, or on the road. The complete set includes the Flexineb® E3 nebulizer, two medication cups, and a bottle of SilvaPlex®, with masks available in Foal, Adult, and Adult XL sizes so the seal fits the patient. It accommodates a range of therapies, from antibiotics such as Gentamicin to bronchodilators such as Clenbuterol, as well as natural solutions.

Which respiratory conditions does Flexineb® help manage?

Respiratory problems are a frequent cause of poor sport performance and a real drag on a horse's daily wellbeing. Flexineb® is used to manage equine respiratory disease across the spectrum now grouped under Equine Asthma—in its mild, moderate, and severe grades—including Recurrent Airway Obstruction (RAO), heaves, Copd, and Inflammatory Airway Disease (IAD). By turning liquid medication into a breathable mist, the nebulizer puts treatment where the problem lives: deep in the airways, rather than relying on the digestive tract.

"The most important aspect about Flexineb® is the fact that it is a self-contained, very easy to use and tolerated brilliantly by horses." Richard Hepburn

What makes SilvaPlex® silver care different?

SilvaPlex® is built on a sophisticated chelated-silver complex bonded to citric acid—the patented Ag21™ complex at 100 parts per million—engineered for molecular stability rather than the unstable silver suspensions common elsewhere. A proprietary chitosan compound works alongside the silver to protect against environmental stressors and support the animal's natural skin barrier. The woundcare formula is free of odor, alcohol, and Triclosan, and the products are described as naturally derived, non-toxic, and animal-safe, made from biodegradable, Ecocert-approved raw materials. Manufacturing happens in Sandston, Virginia at AG Essence, an FDA-registered facility following FDA GMP guidelines.

Who is behind Wire 2 Wire Vet Products?

Since 2005, Wire 2 Wire Vet Products has been built around a single standard: it only sells products its founders use on their own animals. The company was founded by two veterinarians and a horse-industry veteran. Michael Cavey, DVM, a graduate of the College of William and Mary and the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, ran a successful equine practice and built Respite Farm into a premier Kentucky Thoroughbred breeding operation that produced Eclipse Award winners. Nancy Temple, DVM, an equine surgeon trained at the University of Illinois with a residency at Marion duPont Equine Hospital, manages day-to-day operations at Respite Farm and Wire 2 Wire. They are joined by Richard Hoffberger, who built one of the world's largest equine insurance brokerages. What began with elite performance horses now serves horses, cattle, dogs, and cats alike.

What results do horse owners report?

Owners and professionals point to the same things again and again: a treatment horses tolerate and results they can see. The combination of a calm, well-tolerated nebulizer and a silver line proven on the founders' own animals means you are choosing products that are tested in demanding environments before they ever reach your barn.
