Our 12ft lead is the suggested length for a "first timer". It affords a 24 foot circle of movement, providing your horse space to roll, sleep or as my horse does - self lunging, working off happy feet! Outer hose material Greatly resists kinking around hoof (can't say never with a horse!). Provided with a spare clasp and quick link. Bullsnap is Always used at the stake. Improper use will damage clasp.
Our 10ft lead is recommended for horses with some experience with 12ft or longer leads. This length is helpful for tight camping conditions. Some horses need time to adapt to the shorter lead for camping. The halter clasp at the head is the weak link, designed to fail in the event of a panic situation. Provided with a spare clasp and quick link.

The finest stake on the market - Period.
I have never been a fan of ground tie systems before-- until The Beyond Tack Ground Tie System! It is the safest ground tie system I have ever seen or used. Because the tie is so soft and broad, it can't really get tied up in the horse's feet. There are emergency situations where you need to ground tie a horse and corrals or trees for high ties aren't available-- and I very pleased to have it for my own horse who adjusted to it pretty quickly.
