Why skip the full bath?

A full bath is not always practical, and it is not always good for the horse. Repeated heavy washing with harsh shampoos can strip natural oils and leave skin dried out and manes and tails feeling coarse. Spray-Away takes a lighter touch. Its blend of natural plant esters and gentle surfactants cleans the coat while leaving in conditioning essential oils and proteins that bring out the coat's natural luster, adding body and shine instead of dulling it.

How do you use Spray-Away?

There is no need to pre-wet the horse. Connect the bottle to your hose, break off the locking tab to release the switch, and turn it to the wash setting. Spray directly onto the coat, starting at the top and working down, until the horse is completely covered, then lather up. Turn the switch to the rinse setting and use a sweat scraper as you rinse off. Avoid spraying directly toward the eyes. The whole job takes a fraction of the time of a traditional bath, which makes Spray-Away a natural fit for spot-cleaning a dirty patch, freshening up before a show, or cleaning a horse on a cool day when a soaking-wet, drawn-out bath is the last thing you want.

Spray-Away comes from Straight Arrow Products, the family-owned company behind the legendary Mane 'n Tail line. The story began in 1970 on a small farm in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, where Phil and Bonnie Katzev raised Arabian horses and could not find grooming products that did right by their horses' coats. Phil, a chemist, set out to fix that, and the pH-balanced formulas he created became Mane 'n Tail Original.
