The feeder was intentionally designed with two adjustable heights to address pawing. A small percentage of horses adjusting to net-feeding paw in frustration during the transition (which can put holes in the netting). If yours does, raise the feeder to the top setting until the horse settles in, then drop back down to your preferred height once they've adjusted. The newest line in the HayBoss family. HayRing Feeders are made of thick polyethylene with metal reinforcements top and bottom — strong, durable, but lightweight enough to move without equipment. The panels are universal, so you can reconfigure the same feeder into different shapes (for example, the Hex feeder converts to a Large Square Bale HayRing with a corner conversion kit). The included heavy-duty polyethylene orange netting is water-resistant and resists fraying — based on years of customer feedback.
