The Solution Section (FAQ)
What is a Travel N Corral?
Travel N Corrals are lightweight, portable horse panels you set up next to your trailer to build a round corral on the road. The system was designed by horse people for horse people after owner Lynette couldn't find a portable corral she felt comfortable putting her own horse in, so her husband John designed and fabricated the panels. It gives traveling horse owners a safe, secure stall wherever they go.
How quickly can one person set up a Travel N Corral?
One person can assemble the corral in 10 to 15 minutes. Each panel weighs only 15 pounds, so a single person can build the corral and load it for traveling without help. The system was designed for a woman, which means anyone can set it up.
What sizes of portable corrals are available?
Travel N Corrals offers single round horse stalls in 13' x 13', 16 x 16, and 18 x 18, plus double horse corrals in 13 x 13. The 13' x 13' round size is the largest single corral offered, giving the horse room to circle rather than the cramped 10' x 10' square of some other brands. You can add additional panels at any time if you want to go bigger.
What makes Travel N Corral panels safe and strong?
The panels are a 3-rail design with bracing, with rails spaced specifically to keep a horse safe; a 2-rail panel can let a horse get its head under and flip the corral. All welds are notched for strength, and the panels are galvanized steel that holds up over years instead of chipping or scratching like painted or powder-coated panels. The corrals are built for strength but are intended for tame, broke horses, not unbroken, unruly, or wild horses or cattle.
How do the panels connect so a horse can't pull them apart?
Panels connect every 7 feet with a full-length 4-foot steel pipe rod that interlocks all the way down, which a horse cannot pull out, unlike short pins or Velcro a horse can work loose. The panels are also notched and welded for strength so they keep opening and closing for years. When assembled, the corral is more secure and feels heavier to the horse. This connection is part of Travel N Corrals' patented system.
What size corral is best for my horse?
It depends on how big your horse is and how much he or she likes to move around, and you know your horse best. Because you can add panels at any time, you can always go bigger later. For two horses, the double 13 x 13 gives each horse its own stall.
Do Travel N Corrals come with a warranty?
Yes. Travel N Corral panels carry a lifetime material and workmanship guarantee for as long as the original owner has them, far beyond the 30-day warranty that comes with many other panels. The company stands behind the panels under normal use, while offering one of the lowest costs per corral on the market.

What is Travel N Corrals?
Travel N Corrals is a California-based maker of lightweight, portable horse corrals that let you build a safe round stall right next to your trailer in under 15 minutes. The kits use interlocking galvanized steel panels and are designed for riders who camp, show, or trail-ride with their horses. The company describes its product as designed by horse people, for horse people.
Who started Travel N Corrals?
The company began when Lynette wanted to travel with her horses and couldn't find a portable corral she felt comfortable putting a horse in. Her husband John designed and fabricated a set of panels for her, and that prototype became the Travel N Corrals product line. It remains a horse-owner-driven design rather than a generic livestock product.
What sizes of portable corral are available?
Travel N Corrals offers single round-stall configurations in 13' x 13', 16' x 16', and 18' x 18'. There is also a double 13' x 13' set that joins two corrals together for two horses. All single corrals are built from the same 7.0' long by 4.0' high panels.
How long does it take to set up a Travel N Corral?
A single corral can be assembled in less than 15 minutes. Because each panel weighs only 15 pounds and the joints use interlocking pins, one person can put up or take down the whole corral without help or tools.
What are the panels made of?
Each panel is fabricated from 1" galvanized round steel tubing with notched and welded joints. The galvanized finish resists chipping, scratching, and weathering far better than painted or powder-coated panels, so the corral holds up over years of travel.
How much does each panel weigh?
Every individual Travel N Corral panel weighs only 15 pounds. That light weight is what makes single-person setup, breakdown, and loading possible, even though the welded steel construction is built for strength.
What are the panel dimensions?
Each panel is 7.0' long and 4.0' high. The panels connect with 4.0' interlocking pins, and you combine the right number of them to form a 13' x 13', 16' x 16', or 18' x 18' round corral.
How do the panels connect together?
The panels join with interlocking pins, and notably any joint can be made into a gate. That means you choose where the gate sits when you set up, so the entrance always lands where it's most convenient for your campsite or trailer position.
Can I expand a corral later?
Yes. Travel N Corrals are expandable, so you can add corrals to an existing set as your needs change. The double 13' x 13' configuration is one example of joining corrals, and additional units can be added beyond that.
Why galvanized steel instead of painted or powder-coated panels?
Galvanized steel resists chipping and scratching and stands up to weather far better than painted or powder-coated finishes, which can flake and rust over time. Since these corrals live in trailers and get used outdoors in all conditions, the galvanized finish keeps them looking and performing well for the long haul.
Is the Travel N Corral safe for my horse?
The corral is built specifically for safe containment of tame horses during camping, trailering, and shows, using welded steel that won't deform like flimsy expanding panels. The design came directly from an owner who refused to put her own horse in anything she didn't trust. It is intended for trained, halter-broke horses rather than unhandled or panicked animals.
What is the warranty?
Travel N Corrals carries a lifetime warranty to the original owner covering both materials and workmanship. That warranty reflects the company's confidence in its welded, galvanized construction.
Do I need tools to assemble it?
No. The interlocking pin system means you can stand up the corral with no tools and no loose hardware to misplace. This makes setup practical even at a dark or remote campsite.
What is Travel N Corrals used for?
Riders use these corrals at horse shows, trailheads, endurance and trail rides, hunting camps, and overnight campgrounds. The corral gives a horse a safe enclosed space to rest and move rather than being tied to the trailer all night, which reduces stress and the risk of injury.
How do I order a Travel N Corral?

Where is Travel N Corrals located?
Travel N Corrals is located at 15400 Altamont Pass Road, Tracy, California 95391. They serve traveling horse owners and can be reached at 925.980.0235.
How many horses can one corral hold?
Each single corral, whether 13' x 13', 16' x 16', or 18' x 18', is sized as a round stall for one horse, with the larger sizes giving a horse more room to move. For two horses, the double 13' x 13' set joins two corrals together, and the expandable design lets you add more units for additional horses.
