With more than 20 years of building stalls and doors, StallWorks brings an expert understanding of the installation process to every order.

What are StallWorks stalls and doors made of?
Stalls and doors are manufactured from galvanneal steel, chosen for its rust and corrosion resistance and long life. The stall systems use 14GA galvannealed steel, 4" on center grills, heavy duty Delrin trolleys, and reliable doorstops, then are powder coated for a durable, lasting paint protection.
Can the stalls and doors be matched to my existing barn color?
Yes. StallWorks powder coats its products and offers a wide range of powder coating colors and textures, so they can match almost any existing barn or paint color. As part of the process they send physical color swatches so you can confirm the look before anything is built.
What stall styles and options does StallWorks offer?
StallWorks carries two product lines: a more economical but beautiful stall line, and European stall fronts for a higher-end look. The economical line lets you mix and match openings, such as all bars, a fold down door section, or a v-neck in the stall door, and all bars, a swing out door, or a feed opening in the grills.
Can StallWorks customize stalls or doors for an unusual space?
Yes. The company can customize to just about any specifications if you need to retrofit to a specific space or want a unique design. They provide end-to-end service, including completed design using SolidWorks software, metal fabrication, and powder coating through their sister company Virginia MetalFab.

What is StallWorks, LLC?
StallWorks, LLC is an equine stall and door manufacturer based in Appomattox, Virginia. The company has been dedicated to producing and supplying top-notch products for the equine industry for more than 20 years, specializing in stall systems and a full line of barn doors. Its goal is to offer exceptional equine products that endure the test of time.
When was StallWorks founded?
StallWorks was founded in 2001 in Virginia's Heartland, after its founder identified a need for quality, affordable equine products. The company states it has been building equine stall systems and doors since 2002, giving it more than two decades of hands-on experience with the products and the installation process.
Where is StallWorks located?
StallWorks is located at 310 Founders Lane, Appomattox, VA 24522. Manufacturing happens locally at this facility, which is now a 250,000-square-foot space shared with its sister company, Virginia MetalFab. You can reach the company by phone at (434) 933-5176.
What products does StallWorks make?
StallWorks manufactures complete stall systems plus a family of doors: Dutch Doors, Bale Doors, Loft Doors, Aisle Entry Doors and Barn Doors. The product line is designed to cover an entire barn — from individual stall fronts and partitions to exterior and loft access doors — in matching styles and finishes.
What kind of steel are StallWorks stalls made from?
StallWorks builds its doors and stalls from 14GA galvannealed steel. Galvanneal is chosen for its superiority in rust and corrosion prevention, ensuring a long-lasting product, and for its harder, more matte finish that accepts paint and powder coat readily for extreme durability.
What grill spacing options are available?
StallWorks offers grills in 3-inch or 4-inch on-center spacing. The on-center measurement refers to the distance between the centers of adjacent vertical bars, letting you choose the look and openness that suit your horses and your barn's ventilation and visibility needs.
Are StallWorks doors and stalls powder coated?
Yes. Every StallWorks product is powder coated, which gives the door and grill a durable layer of paint protection that will last for years to come. Powder coating is handled in-house through the company's sister operation, Virginia MetalFab, so the finish is controlled from fabrication through to coating.
Can StallWorks match the color of my existing barn?
Yes. StallWorks offers a wide range of powder coating colors and textures and can match almost any existing barn or paint color. This lets new stall systems and doors integrate seamlessly with structures and hardware you already have, rather than standing out as obviously aftermarket.
What hardware comes with a StallWorks stall system?
A StallWorks stall system package includes the screws, lags, heavy duty trolleys, trolley bracket, and door stops needed to mount and operate the system. The trolleys are heavy duty Delrin units for smooth, durable sliding-door movement. Lumber is not included, though StallWorks can refer you to a recommended supplier.
Do StallWorks systems use sliding or hinging doors?
Both are available. Whether the customer wants sliding or hinging options, solid-door or glass-door options, or any other number of specific needs, StallWorks works to provide the proper solution. The team helps each customer choose the operation, style, color and sizing that fit their barn.
What is Virginia MetalFab and how is it related to StallWorks?
Virginia MetalFab is StallWorks' sister company, providing the metal fabrication and powder coating that go into StallWorks products. Together they run an end-to-end, in-house production process under one roof, which is how StallWorks controls quality from raw steel through finished, color-matched stalls and doors.
How does StallWorks design its products?
StallWorks uses SolidWorks software to complete its design work. This CAD-based approach allows the team to engineer custom sizes and configurations precisely, accommodate non-standard openings, and ensure that each stall system or door fits properly within a specific barn design before it is fabricated.
How do I order from StallWorks?
Ordering starts with a conversation about your needs — door style, sliding versus hinging operation, grill spacing, colors and sizing. From there the order is made locally at the StallWorks facility. To begin a quote or discuss your project, call (434) 933-5176 or visit stallworksllc.com to browse the catalog.
How are StallWorks orders delivered?
StallWorks ships finished orders one of two ways: direct delivery using the company's own fleet of delivery trucks, or through a trusted LTL (less-than-truckload) carrier. The delivery method typically depends on your location and the size of the order.
Does StallWorks work with contractors and dealers?
Yes. In addition to serving individual horse owners, StallWorks works with contractors, commercial farms and dealers nationwide, and maintains dedicated resources for contractors and for rough-opening specifications. This makes the company a fit for both a single backyard barn and large commercial equine facilities.
Why do horse owners choose StallWorks?
Owners cite StallWorks' 20-plus years of experience, its galvannealed-steel-and-powder-coat durability, deep color and texture customization, and a customer-first service philosophy. The company states it believes the customer comes first and that customer service is as important as the products and services we deliver, with a reputation built on excellence, integrity and high quality.
Does StallWorks offer custom sizes?
Yes. Because StallWorks designs in SolidWorks and fabricates in-house, it can accommodate non-standard sizing and a variety of stall system combinations. Customers are encouraged to discuss specific rough openings and configurations so the team can engineer a system that fits the exact barn rather than forcing a stock size.
