The Hay-EZ

is an American-made line of hay net filler stands built to solve one of the most common daily frustrations in horse keeping — the awkward, time-consuming, back-straining job of filling slow-feed hay nets and bags. A Hay-EZ stand holds your net or bag wide open and fully upright, hands-free, so you drop hay in with both hands instead of wrestling a floppy net one-handed. It's for any horse owner who feeds with hay nets: backyard owners with a horse or two, boarding barns feeding many head twice a day, and competitive riders and trainers who travel to shows and need a compact, portable answer.

What is a Hay-EZ stand and how does it work?

A Hay-EZ stand is a sturdy, purpose-designed frame that grips and secures your hay net so it stays open and upright while you fill it. Instead of holding the opening with one hand, stuffing the net between your knees, or draping it over a trash can or muck bucket, you simply hang or set the net on the stand and load it freely. Because the net stays fully open, you can pack it as tightly as you want with no spilled hay on the ground. Once it's full, you remove the net and hang it for your horse as normal — that's the entire process.

Why is filling hay nets without a Hay-EZ so hard?

Hay nets are designed to hold hay under tension once they're hung — but that same design makes them nearly impossible to hold open for filling without help. The net collapses on itself the moment you let go, forcing most people into the same inefficient workarounds, none of which hold the net fully open or let you pack it tightly. Worse, most of them mean bending and twisting in ways that strain the back and joints, feeding after feeding. The Hay-EZ keeps the net open and at a comfortable height so filling is quicker, cleaner, and far easier on your body.

"What a game changer. I am getting bags fuller and faster." Stephanie C.

"The hanging stand is Amazing for horse shows. 11/10 recommend to anyone!" Samantha S.

Which Hay-EZ model is right for my barn?

Every situation is different, so the Hay-EZ comes in three stand options. The Free Standing Hay-EZ ($135) is fully self-supporting — no installation, no wall attachment. Set it anywhere (stall, barn aisle, pasture, or trailer), load your net, and move on; it's portable enough to carry from spot to spot and is the everyday choice for most barns with multiple horses. The Hanging Hay-EZ ($95) hangs from an existing overhead structure to keep the floor completely clear beneath it, which makes it a favorite for horse shows where stall space is at a premium, and for trailer use. The Table Mount Hay-EZ ($40) is a compact clamp-on that attaches to a table, shelf, or other flat surface — the most affordable entry point, well suited to travel and smaller operations.

How did the Hay-EZ come to be?

The Hay-EZ began with a simple goal: to make everyday barn life easier. Owner and inventor Janessa grew up around horses and animals, ran her own barn, and traveled constantly to rodeos and jackpots — and like many horse people, she found filling hay nets a daily struggle, ending up with hay everywhere or never able to pack the net full. After being diagnosed with a back condition, bending and lifting for long stretches became painful, and the idea for the Hay-EZ was born. When friends in the horse community started asking for their own, she realized the problem wasn't only hers. Hay-EZ stands are lightweight, durable, easy to transport, and made right here in the USA.

Who is the Hay-EZ designed for?

The Hay-EZ is designed for any horse owner who uses slow-feed hay nets or hay bags. That includes backyard horse owners with one or two horses, boarding facility managers feeding large numbers twice daily, competitive riders and trainers who travel to horse shows and need a compact portable solution, and anyone whose barn routine involves repetitive hay bag filling that takes too much time or causes physical strain.
