Anti-Chew Board Fencing

Anti-Chew Board Fencing

Board fencing that stands up to chewing, kicking and weather, with rails that won't splinter, rot or soak up water.

What fence board holds up when horses chew, kick and lean on it?

About

Anti-Chew Board Fencing

Wood board fencing looks classic, but horses that chew, crib or lean on the rails can splinter and break boards, and rain, mud and irrigation eventually rot them. Anti-chew board fencing replaces wood rails with tougher, non-absorbent materials, such as fiber-plastic composite boards, that do not splinter, rot or attract termites. That matters most around paddocks, corrals, mare motels, sacrifice areas and gates near the barn, where boards take the most abuse. As with any horse fence, posts, fasteners, fence height, board spacing and installation all play a part in safety.
